Without a doubt, one of the most influential filmmakers of the global avant-garde is Jonas Mekas. Tireless filmmaker and promoter, champion of amateurism and orchestrator of the Anthology Film Archives, he would celebrate his 100th anniversary in 2022 and as part of that celebration, ULTRAcinema XI joins the festivities and calls filmmakers and artists in general to be part of the tribute to the Lithuanian filmmaker in this edition:
* The subject is a tribute to the centenary of Jonas Mekas.
* Works may have a duration of up to 10 minutes.
* All work must have a title and credits.
* The technique is free, although we are looking for a more experimental approach.
* The works should preferably have a Full HD quality (1920×1080) in .mov or .mp4 format, although works made in other formats will be taken into account, as long as they have a conceptual justification.
