Coinciding with the centenary of the birth of Jonas Mekas (Lithuania, 24-12-1922 – United States, 23-01-2019), the Filmoteca de Galicia programmes a series of sessions on the work of this filmmaker, critic, poet and cultural activist, an essential figure in the development of the New York cultural scene and, specifically, of independent and experimental American cinema.
